A man's worth is often judged by his ability to keep his word, and the same principle applies to women as well. "You have mine—until the day I die," Johnny declared, leaning in and invading my personal space, his expensive aftershave permeating the air and a dark glint in his eye. "What if you die tonight?" he posed, pausing for a moment before continuing, "Then I lived up to my word, didn't I?"
Juice Campbell, a twenty-five-year-old woman, has no belief in the institution of marriage. The product of a failed extramarital affair, she has her mind firmly set against being bound by anything other than her career. On her final night dancing at one of Atlanta's premier strip clubs, Juice's opportunity to start anew is derailed when she witnesses several murders, including that of one of her closest friends. Overnight, she finds herself thrust into the role of the wife of mafia hitman Johnny "Johnny Two-Times Gabbana." Formidable and handsome, Johnny's arrival turns Juice's mundane life upside down and, in turn, alters her views on matrimony as their feelings for each other intensify.
However, the path to their happily ever after is fraught with obstacles, the most significant being Johnny's own family, particularly his father, who will stop at nothing to ensure that death does, in fact, do them part.
Johnny Gabbana is a revered figure within the mafia underworld, primarily due to his unique "gift" – the rare ability to eliminate any given target with just two shots or less. As the youngest son of the infamous mafia boss Antonio Gabbana, Johnny has spent the past decade safeguarding not only his father but also the vast generational wealth amassed by the patriarch. This task requires unwavering discipline, and in contrast to his hedonistic brothers, Johnny is a cold-hearted saint, seeking more than just a warm body in his bed. When he encounters Juice at the club, it is love at first sight, and their second, morbid meeting solidifies his belief that the mouthy stripper might be his perfect match.
Against the wishes of his entire family, Johnny goes to great lengths to save Juice, a decision that places both of their lives in jeopardy from the moment they utter the words "I do." Married to the Mafia is a tale of love and loyalty, proving that the two are not mutually exclusive. While Johnny's loyalty to his family ends where his marriage begins, he vows to protect Juice, even if it means sacrificing himself. As for love, it seems that between himself and his family, there is none to be found.
